Creaking sounds from settling wood
Blowing breeze is gently waving
White for hope or maybe surrender
A crisp coldness flows through the night
Glass breaking against a concrete flow
A fire blew out
While the memories of the black ball of delight,
Sneak into my mind
Is that a plaintive meow?
The sound seems to be vibrating against brick
She went missing
Could she be here?
Against the hallways a shadow appears
Like a small shape stealthy running
I am flushed and uncertain
The steady beating heart
Racing to find peace of mind
Did my baby survive the empty walls?
Getting by her wits alone
In my empty home
About the Creator
Lisa Pulliam
I love making fun of my emotions, feelings, and thoughts in short form writing such as songs and illustrations. I would like to write longer and more explorative pieces for others to read.
