My Little Piece of Happy

A poem by sarah baker

By Sarah BakerPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

smiling faces warms the heart

but what if one is broken apart

a place where I’m accepted as me

not something I’m expected to be

even through dark times and depression

love is always the message

birds of a flock stick together

Into whatever weather

open arms always embrace

life is not always a race

sometimes you have to slow the pace

growing children having there own

that is the true meaning of home

no matter where your head lies

a building has no ties

family blood and not

will always be welcome on the spot

surreal poetry
