My Imaginary Girl

When you wake up and it is all a dream.

I visualise you lying on my bed,

No words spoken, none need to be said,

I hold you close in the comfort of my bed,

My imaginary girl

Your eyes sparkle with delight,

As we make sweet love by the moonlight,

Lost in a world, holding each other all night,

My imaginary girl

But when morning comes,

you are not there,

No sign of you,

My bed is bare,

Yet in my mind,

I know you were there,

My imaginary girl.

The pillow is warm where you lay your head,

Has my mind been horribly misled?

Could it be you were never in my bed?

My imaginary girl.

No, I know it to be true,

I saw your eyes of azure blue,

As the moonlight came streaming through,

We made love just me and you,

My beautiful girl,

My imaginary girl …….

*******

Till next time,
