My Home

As a retired educator, my mantra is ME: Motivation & Expectation

My pillow, my comforter, my socks, I stretch.

My slippers, my toothbrush, my soap, I pray.

My mug, my pecans, my garden, I walk.

My glass, my rocker, my crossword, I play.

My stove, my recipe, my neighbor, I share.

My attic, my trunk, my photos, I compile.

My checkbook, my bills, my diary, I declare.

My chase, my popcorn, my movie, I smile.

My soap, my toothbrush, my nails, I read.

My pad, my pencil, my eraser, I sketch.

My bench, my knees, my prayers, I plead.

My pillow, my comforter, my socks, I stretch.

I yawn, I pause, I remember, I'm home.
