My heart goes out to the Octopus

Who needs three hearts to be broken?

Feeling

Who indeed really needs the pain of a three 3 broken hearts

Is the pain of one not enough to stop the world

From ever turning

The unfortunate Octopus carries three 3 hearts within

Its little frame

One 1 larger heart that circulates blood to most of the body

And two 2 smaller hearts which pump blood to the gills

The lovely Octopus has nine 9 brains

One central brain

With eight other brains attached to each 8 arms

Each arm has a mini-brain, allowing individual arms

The autonomy to act independently of each other

Hear

The octopus' central brain sends high level signals to the arms

Eg. 'food located at 10 o'clock, prey at 4 o'clock'

Imagine the enormous impact of nine brains

Directing the gravitational pull of our minds

In relation to the workings of our mind/universe relationship

The implications are mind boggling at the least

Could I not build a mental path to the heavens

Climb to untoward, forbidden, undiscovered

And undisclosed paths to ecstasy

Gaining knowledge far beyond my feeble imagination

I ponder the amazing scintillating sparks of heavenly bliss

As I sit and star gaze beyond the mind's eye of my thoughts

Three hearts and nine brains.....WOW!

Touch

Octopuses are intelligent

They love to play and make use of tools

They have blue blood, this allows them to adapt

To the cold low oxygen water by using Hemocyacin

A copper rich protein

See

Yet how can we relate to an entity which houses 9 brains

What knowledge could we derive from across the universe

To ponder the what, where, when, why and how

Of our obsequious and questionable existence

Taste

When an octopus swallows,

Its food must pass through the brain

Giving rise to the reflective concept of 'food for thought'

The octopus is a powerhouse all unto itself

Its entire individual body parts appearing to have minds of their own

Almost independently each part works on its own

Fascinating!

Could a human function at such a level of productivity

What level of world domination would the power seekers employ

Having complete access to the power of the working minds and brains

Of a human octopus?

Would I become smarter if I had a continuous

Well fed diet rich in octopus soup?

More food for thought!
