my grandmothers hands

KNUCKLES

By Amber GracePublished 2 months ago • Updated about a month ago • 1 min read

how lucky

to never have to let go of them

it's truly magic

the way our dna holds onto things

copy- pasted your knuckles

onto all of our hands

3 children and 7 grandchildren

that’s 20 hands to hold when I start believing you are anywhere but here

and there are more to come

our story's never finished

thank you

to whoever decided

this part, deserved passing down

if you are truly gone, now

then tell me how

I feel you with me every time i look down

my hands

are my gram’s.
