My First Race

A Human Race

By Earl W. PearlPublished 24 days ago • Updated 24 days ago • 1 min read

I was fast long before I was born
Then resented for tooting my horn
With my strong swishing leg
I was first at the egg
All the other sperm bathed me in scorn

When reflecting on what I had done
How by crushing my rivals was fun
Yet here decades later
No longer a hater
I’ve been wishing another sperm won
