Cover Reveal: Quiet Flame (A Poetry Collection)

Before saying anything else, I want to admit something honestly. I was not sure if this was the right time to share this or not, but I decided to take this step without thinking too much about timing or perfection. I actually have other pieces ready to post before this one. One of them is something we call in Urdu a shikayat—a complaint, a quiet expression of something held inside—and there are other thoughts I wanted to share too. So I do not fully know why I am choosing to share this now instead of those.

Maybe it is just instinct, or maybe it is the feeling that some beginnings do not wait for the perfect moment. Either way, I hope this step turns out to be okay, and hopefully something good comes from it.

There is something strangely freeing about giving something away without knowing if it truly deserves to be seen. So before anything else, I want to say this clearly—this mini poetry booklet is completely free for you. No hidden price, no expectations, no pressure to give anything back. If someday you feel like leaving a tip, that is kind of you, but honestly, that is not why this exists. This exists because of two poems.

Yes, just two.

Two small pieces I wrote long ago, pieces I never really intended to post on social media. Not because they were too personal, but because I was never sure they were good enough to be seen. They felt unfinished in spirit, like thoughts that had not fully decided what they wanted to become. For a long time, they stayed hidden, quietly sitting in the background of my thoughts, untouched and uncertain.

Then one day, a simple thought came to me—what if these two pieces were not meant to stay alone? What if they were meant to become the beginning of something else? That single question stayed with me longer than I expected, and slowly the idea of creating a small poetry collection began to form. Not a perfect book, not a polished masterpiece, but simply a first attempt. Something small. Something honest. Something that could exist without needing to prove anything.

To be honest, creating this mini book felt like taking a quiet risk. Not the kind of risk people usually talk about, but a personal one that happens silently inside your mind. This is my first time ever creating a mini poetry collection, and when you create something for the first time, there is always uncertainty. You do not really know what you are doing, and you do not know how people will receive it. You only know that you want to try, even if the result is imperfect.

I began with those two poems, the ones I once hesitated to share, and slowly started building around them. Other pieces found their place one by one. Some were written at different moments in my life, carrying different moods and emotions. Some felt naturally connected to each other, almost as if they belonged together from the beginning. Others did not feel as strongly connected, and that is something I want to admit honestly. Not every poem in this collection is perfectly linked to the next, but I tried, sincerely tried, to arrange them in a way that feels calm and meaningful rather than scattered.

Along the way, I also made several changes. Some titles were different before, and I chose to rename them in ways that felt more suitable now. Certain lines were edited, softened, or reshaped. Nothing too dramatic, but enough to make the poems feel more complete than they once were. It felt like revisiting something old and giving it a quieter, steadier form.

The reason this mini book is free is simple—it is not meant to feel like a product. Not yet. It feels more like a beginning, a learning experience, and a way to test my own courage. I wanted to place these words in front of readers without attaching pressure to them. In fact, what I truly hope for is not praise but honest feedback. Praise is comforting, but feedback is what helps something grow into its better version.

If you decide to read this collection, I would genuinely appreciate hearing what you think about it. Not just whether you liked it, but what stayed with you after reading. Maybe there is one poem that felt stronger than the others, or one title that felt weak, or a line that did not seem necessary. Maybe the sequence feels smooth, or maybe it feels slightly uneven. Even your thoughts about the cover or the overall feeling of the collection would mean a lot. Small suggestions can carry surprising weight, especially when someone is still learning.

The truth is that this mini book is not the final destination for me. It feels more like preparation for something larger that I hope to create in the near future. I want to build a more complete and deeply connected poetry collection someday, something shaped by experience, patience, and the lessons I learn from this first attempt. That is why your feedback matters more than you might realize—it becomes part of the foundation for what comes next.

I also know that my circle of readers is still small. Not weak, just limited. There are many creators with strong networks and wide connections, people whose words travel far because they are supported by communities that believe in them. I am still learning how to build that kind of connection. So if this collection feels meaningful to you in any way, even slightly, sharing it with others would be a kindness I would deeply appreciate. And if it does not feel meaningful, that is also completely fine. In that case, your honest feedback about what did not work would be just as valuable.

What matters most to me is not whether this collection is perfect, because I know it is not. What matters is that it exists. That these poems, which once stayed hidden, have now been gathered into something real. If you read this mini book and find even one poem that stays in your thoughts for a while, one line that feels familiar, or one image that quietly lingers, then this small risk will feel worthwhile.

And if you read it and feel that it needs improvement, I welcome that too. Tell me what felt unfinished, what felt unclear, or what could have been stronger. Growth begins where honesty lives, and I would rather hear the truth than comfortable words.

In the end, this mini collection was created from hesitation, curiosity, and a small amount of courage. It may not be perfectly connected from beginning to end, but it is sincere, and sincerity is the only foundation I truly trust at this stage. So here it is, offered quietly, without certainty and without expectation. If you choose to read it, thank you. If you choose to share your thoughts afterward, thank you even more. And if you simply spend a moment inside its silence, that alone makes this effort meaningful.
