My Experiences With Snow

A weekly prompt

Snow is beautiful to see.

Where I live in awe are we.

When it covers the trees it is a wonderous sight.

Making the ground look so clean and light.

Since growing up as a small child,

I loved all of it, playing in it was wild.

We made snow ice cream as kids.

Snow candy as adults, then there would be bids.

Skating, skiing, sliding, snowmen, and more.

With and without extra children, there were always at least four.

Snow angels were fun and hitching rides on bumpers of cars.

Walks and shoveling were enough to drive a person to the bars.

****

As time goes by I love to see the grandchildren and great grands states.

Trying to walk down the path or see them on their first pair of skates.

It is so much fun to sit and watch the flakes out the window now.

Staying home and not going places is the best for me anyhow!
