My Existence

Tell me what to do

By Mercedes ChavezPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

With every tender kiss

Comes a night where I sit in the tub, the water flows over me, and hides my tears

Every time we're together and we laugh

The moment that follows is one of doubt and fear, because I know one day we won't share those moments anymore

Moments of you hugging me tightly and I'm left with the scent of you on me

Is followed by a long shower, because I don't want to get use to the scent of you, when I know one day I'll never smell it again

I know I should keep that distance between us, but you don't let me

I know what you've told me over and over again, but the way you act says something completely different

What are we doing here?

Do you know, can you tell me?

Because my entire existence is spinning... and you're at the very center of it.
