My Demise Part II

Wonderer by the Dark Stream Series

Beauty in Death, photo by C. Ochoa

I wake from this dream only to find it has become my reality, a never-ending nightmare I did not foresee, the weight of it crushing me.

You stuck the knife straight into my back, and I can barely breathe as everything around me goes black.

Now I truly see the monster you were hiding, beneath all the light that was so blinding, your demons left presiding, as you quit fighting.

The pain radiates through my chest, forever a soul cursed to this unrest, until I've confessed, the truth that will haunt me till my death.

But only in death can I find the truth of this seemingly neverending torment, then I can finally live in the present.

Forgiven and not lost.
