My world has been dark;
Too dark since that fateful day,
I used to walk with you in the light,
But now I sit here lonely and in
dismay,
My heart is supposed to be red,
But shadows of sorrow wrap their
fingers of grief around it,
When water drips in puddles,
You can see it,
Though nobody see's my tears,
They are invisible to everyone who
tries to come too close to me.
My world used to be full of
Happy sounds and color,
All I see now, is the color black;
And all I hear are the dark sounds
of mourning,
Grief,
Yet, here I still sit;
Day after day,
Year after year,
Drowning in my dark sadness,
Since you went away,
Crying silently,
Alone;
With tears nobody see's.
