My dance with death

Poem

By Christina SamplePublished 9 years ago 1 min read

All I wanted was a taste of death.

The brush of his lips, the cold caress.

Just one dance, one song to see...

If my feet could move to the rhythm of his beat.

So I enticed, and he followed me, bringing his darkness into the light that I bleed, surrounding and all encompassing.

"What a lovely gift to bring." He said to me.

"You have no fear, your light cannot be extinguished."

Then he let me go and I was free to move through space, time, and dimensions, back to my reality.

Changed for eternity...
