My complicated relationship with time

And my emotions

You’re corrupting my impatience with the concept of time,

All I’ve ever wanted was for time to hurry up, so I could move on and catch-up with the life that is taunting me, just outside of reach

Now, all I want is for time to stop altogether,

(And it’s all your fault)

I want the space time continuum itself to collapse, so that I have an excuse to stay intertwined in your arms, in your room all night

(Without having to look you in the eyes and admit it)

But I’ll admit it here, now, just this once

I always thought sap like ‘parting is such sweet sorrow’ was the most intensely naive and deluded use of prose.

now I am naive and deluded but utterly convinced,

that one was written specifically for me to think of you
