My Brain

My brain, an emotive prism

The world, seen and heard, a ray of light,

Enters my brain, a prism, pathways tight,

Always full, always projecting,

Emotions, a spectrum of colour, refracting,

Focused filter, shows just one colour,

Red, for the power & strength, to recover,

Yellow, a spark of difference, unique & creative,

Pink, the sincerity & compassion, I do give,

Green, when I wake up, fresh with the day

Orange, my confidence, so focus does stay,

Purple, my drive, my ambition, never on lease,

Blue, my calm trust & loyalty, a small moments peace,

I am a rainbow, an emotional spectrum,

Sometimes overjoyed, & sometimes glum,

No matter the colours I see today, tonight,

The world, seen & heard, a ray of light.
