My 5 years of after Covid

The sun’s shining, it’s spring at last,

Yet I sit looking outside,

Still a prisoner to five years gone,

After Covid’s cruel tide.

I feel a freak, a stranger here,

Foggy eyes and aching bones.

Joints that creak with every step,

A body that’s not my own.

Standing stings, and walking’s worse,

Fatigue a heavy chain,

Each night I chase a restless sleep,

But dreams won’t ease the pain.

Seasons turn, yet I remain,

Trapped within this silent war,

A mind that longs to run and breathe,

A shell that can’t anymore.

Springtime knocks with gentle hands,

But I can’t rise to greet its call,

The world moves on with budding blooms,

And I am frozen through it all.

Send me a wish a prayer for recovery.

To end to all the degrading change of life,

Covid has gone but I feel the pain each day,

will my life ever be good again?

My true story and feelings 😢
