Muted Desires.

A Sonnet of Shadows.

Should I not feel pretty as a picture, dancing in elegance

A scripture'd goddess, walking in divinity and grace...loved

The wind soothing my soul...being my own muse...envied

Narcissus walking by my side, extolling my magnificence

I am beauty personified, the epitome of styled perfection

My eyes shine with a most brilliant incandescent passion

My hair lustrously smooth, shining, gleaming and splendid

My form is shaped in the grandiloquence of the Goddess Athena

The soothing wind kneels at my feet, worshiping my splendor

To the world outside of me...I am dazzling, luminous. Perfect...

I smile, and move with a dignity and poise which is envied by all

Oh fickle truth. For why do I feel so hollow and empty on the inside

Wishing I were that happy you, simple, unencumbered...and whole!
