A time with those who made me feel alive
Laughing till our bellies ached with no cares
A salty breeze amidst soon fading skies
The California heat drying our hair.
Two boys, three girls, and the world at our feet
It felt like time stopped as we harmonized
A room of musicians always in beat
Each voice told a story, not one disguised.
We spent a week catching up on lost time
Five different lives and music as glue
These were my people, moments so sublime
If anyone strays, their music goes too.
I’ll never forget what it felt like then
This memory fills me time and again.
