I notice as the blue of my sorrows
Trickle down my cheek.
Drip
Onto the piece
I call my heart.
The clock spins ‘round
And now to be found:
The yellow of my merry.
It’s danced its way
Into the melody.
My Muddy Happenings.
My mind rests
In a beautiful white calm.
But the boat is rocked,
And into it
The orange of my stress
SPLATS
Onto the canvas.
The chaos of the affair
Is too much to bear.
So the dose of
Numbing black
Seeps into my veins.
My Muddy Discrepancy
The colors come to me
Too fast.
Too soon.
They overwhelm me.
This color is….?
I’m a catastrophe
Sometimes a color
Will grow a mind of its own.
It tells me what to do
And that my body, it owns
The color will disable me
Of my autonomy
Sometimes I hate them
My Muddy Tragedy
Note to self:
It takes time
To control your mind
Maybe one day
I will see
That I am nothing
Tragic
And that I’m not a catastrophe
All these colors
Make the painting
That is Me
And without them
“I” wouldn’t be.
Maybe one day, I can
Appreciate that
I’m a Muddy Masterpiece.
