Much like yesterday,

you were aware of the fact that

things don't stop existing

until you closed your eyes to them.

Much like yesterday,

if you were to call upon a name,

you would likely hear it again,

maybe not entirely, but you would be able to make out the sound.

Much like yesterday,

you knew the lyrics well enough,

so you'll know it'll come suddenly,

yet you won't know why she had to go.

Much like yesterday,

nothing is for certain,

yet you believe that some things have to remain permanant.

Much like yesterday,

you'll be okay with everything.

Much like yesterday,

you long for the following day,

and much like today,

you will long for tomorrow.

Much like yesterday,

the future is not just in what comes after,

but what you put in to make sure that tomorrow

greets you with your open eyes.
