i find myself

betwixt and in between.

my hopes and dreams

snatched away by

reality.

grasp my hand as we escape our

burdens,

chasing the aubergine skyline.

this is our chance to be

daring and accept

the albatross of uncertainty.

i tried to

ensconce

all that i

fought to create,

raised my fist to destiny's gate.

let's abscond from this place

and create a new fate.

we can climb trees in a crystal breeze,

recovering adventure from turmoil.

living in our bones and seams,

feeding off the helter skelter of our dreams.
