What is the difference

Between a movie hero

And a real hero?

Is it a cape?

Is it advanced technology?

Is it magical powers?

In movies we see,

Heroes wear supersuits,

Heroes gain powers,

Heroes struggle to succeed,

At the end of a movie,

Heroes defeat the villain,

Heroes save lives,

Heroes save the world.

In the real world,

Heroes don’t have magical powers,

Heroes don’t have a time machine,

Heroes don’t save the universe,

What else is different,

Between movie heroes and real heroes?

Within movies heroes,

Live in a multiverse,

Are naturally good at heart,

Mostly have a happy ending,

Meanwhile real heroes aren’t pure good,

They live in a single world,

They can have a dark side,

Their endings can end in tragedy.

In the end,

Heroes help people,

Heroes make mistakes,

Heroes can be good or evil.

That is what a hero is.
