Mourn

Maybe

Maybe time will make losing you somehow easier, but I doubt it.

Only then, I would live in shame that your candle became unlit.

Unless you came to me in dreams so I could see your smiling eyes,

Reach for you and feel the warmth and not the sound of my cries.

Nothing compares to this devastation. Pretty sure time can't repair it.

Maybe time will teach me to somehow accept this new old me.

Only, I'm a prisoner of pain, and the torment...well, it's not free.

Unless grief can be done with strength and with grace, it's not worthy...

Reach out to others, in your memory...keeping your glow real and earthy.

Nothing brings you back, but I can honor you even though I can't repair it.
