One of the joys
of living in the Valley
with my boys
is the Mountain View
only visible through
the laundry room window.
Rattle and bang
a construction gang
descends upon the house behind us.
Now I see
the enlarged behemoth house
looking like a Walmart
rising behind us.
So sad for me,
by the time they put on the roof,
I fear my view
will be kaput.
