Mother's Day 2026
this year's mother's day poem

When I was small,
You held me close,
nestled on your warm breast.
When I was young,
You made me laugh,
chortling and wheezing in mirth.
When I was in school,
You helped me with homework,
art projects and preparations.
When I was hurt,
You gave me comfort
in the form of tender kisses
and strong hugs.
You were my first superhero,
My first enemy.
You were there for me.
For when I was scared,
for when I was joyous,
For when I was mad.
We laughed.
We fought.
We yelled,
We cried.
But in the end,
You were my mom.
My wonderful mother,
Who always loved me,
my flaws and perfections.
You loved me dear...
Without any of the fine print.
And in return...
I loved you back.
Happy Mother’s Day.
To all mothers.
