Oh woe to she who falls down in the crevice of society
Only to be trodden by the successes of their eccentricity
Shall I bear ye not on my shoulders
Then I too will reside in their quarters
So deadly is the compassion of mortals
-JM
Together
I turned and your heart stopped
The words dropped
As they left you hanging
It was over and there was nothing
We could do
No one
We could see or talk to
Everything we did
and tried
Only made things worse
inside
We'd cry together
hurt together
We'd sit alone
together
Lay alone in sheets of tears
together
But we won't die
together
-JM
Authors Note: Creating a 100 word count minimum is kind of detrimental to short form poetry. Like Haiku. But I guess coupling together isn't so hard.
