Morning Light

I am hopeful

Morning Light

I am hopeful

Seeing the sunlight rise

Blue and transforming

Flying fast

Snapping dreams into reality

I feel hope

Seeing the stars

Fade into the light

Yellow and orderly

Clean

Not mean but disciplined

Unveiling our future as bright

Grey

Like the softest stone bathed in light

Smooth and sharp

Not fragile but contrite

Brilliantly covering dark places

Obscure spaces

And front yards

Pink chards of light

Falling

Descending across the atmosphere

And landing

Like petals to the earth

Giving life to a new day

A fresh hope like another birth

Another chance to change

And rearrange our hearts

In the underrated color

Of peace

I see hope in the morning sky

An opening or breaking

Of the dark cool egg

That envelopes the earth at night

Cracking the midnight blue

Into a pastel hue

And white

Floods of white

Veils of light

Awakening our world and earth

Shining in our eyes

Like it used to in our childhood
