Morning Bells at school
I wish I was back in the days gone by

Morning Bells at school
The schoolyard wakes, the morning hums.
Children spill, like light through doors.
Shoes click on stone, voices climb high.
The air is sweet, with shouted names.
A bell rings loud, it shakes the sky.
We gather, hands brushed, hearts quick.
The playground stretches, endless, wide.
We leap, we run, the wind holds us.
The sun bends low, it warms the cheeks.
Laughter echoes, it folds around.
A secret shared, a glance, a spark.
The day is ours, and ours alone.
Evening waits, but does not call.
The light stays bright, in memory’s room.
We carry it home, it hums and hums.
A world renewed, by morning bells.
