She is Daffoldils,
Lemonade,
Honey.
She is meant to be Yellow.
That is what they tell Her.
Sapphire,
Berries,
the Jay by the Sill,
But Blue is not Her Color.
Most Admired,
Tolerated,
Most Desired,
with a Singular Disposition.
Yellow it is.
A Chameleon.
Naturally hiding, choosing silence.
Finds comfort in a field of Poppies,
unless the Red is Her Character.
That is what She believed.
Love was reserved for the Sun.
For the Day.
The Night unworthy.
Unpredictable.
A Swallowtail,
Gold is her initial.
Though without Ink,
simply not Herself.
More than one Shade.
More Beautiful because of it.
Less Dull when Colors mix.
Less Alike.
Deserving when Yellow.
Deserving when Different.
Everyday an individual tone. Everyday,
Enough.
