the roads were slick after a midnight shower

all those surrounded had scattered into after hours

wait for roads better traveled

alone stumbles into a small crowd

invited into some place dry

only to to turn into a couple

both wait for better roads traveled

as the midnight shower continues

the couple talk about the selves

making sure everything is okay

get a perception of who they are in the down pour of the hour

as an hour turned to hours

one asked to walk to paradise

what a surprise of a question

where is that place

something that sounded unfamiliar

only to be regular

but the company was not

the surrounding surroundings feel new

not a single yawn was provoked

only to hear the sound of birds chirp

what an evening into morrow

only for roads better traveled

exposure of the shadow

that lingers to

the physical vessels

conjuring the darkness

that inhabits

all purpose

to see what is too seen

to feel frail and free,

encompassing

dare take the steep steps

or remain with

and without

each step in the direction

the shadow grows

larger, heavy linger

along with the dark

so long to those

cans and cannots

only exposing

holding one remotely

soon to detach what lingers

the strings are being pulled

only from the inside

does the flesh pull and tighten

this dismantling treachery

feels good to only me

but the ware is showing off

crippling to a point of decent

here in the dark is where i thrive

everything inside is rushing

i yearn to be crushed

viable to those with the softest eyes

that ask the genuine

as i continue in this venue of self

the more apparent this becomes

this is where

the flames ignited by fuel

fuel that burns and pulsates through the pores

it’s heating up and here i am

stuck in this single body i call home

my flesh burns leaving the scent

of my current past life

in the ashes ready to be blown in a million directions

a million directions simply trying to find home

an unfamiliar place with comforting emotions

i’ve been here before but i’m just not sure

unsteady with each passing step i’m scared i might lose my breath

nothing remotely reassuring

that’s fine by me

discomfort is my compass

leading me to where i need to be

the open road ahead

steady shoulders with my head held high

as if everything parted

just so i can pass on by

the feeling of feelings

combing me with the most gentle caress

there i stand with my mind open and skin suit displayed

treading on with the throttle at capacity

i travel leaving the city heading for the sea

there is where everything comes together

the most elegant shower of beauty

it’s the color of death that brings the most life

the most endearing and the most combative

when the day starts

the sky relinquishing the color of the ocean

the sky

the ocean

vast and plenty in between

devastatingly beautiful tragedy what is seen upon

walking alone along the shoreline or looking beyond the skyscrapers

fluid and constrained,

does this pain ever cease or to live another day?

disdained with this pain

but the bleues remain true

slight glimmer of hope

seeing the world from God’s point of view

still i breath

but the toe tag already had my name

what a shame to see it all

and not being able to change what is done

trembling with the ice all around me

a cold body that breaths

swiftly floating over all the moments of my life

but i can’t control the pace

some moments grand and others tragic

i want to stay in the grander moments

but i have no control here

all i can do is see and feel

there is no noise here

just a passing energy taking me

there is were it all collides,

time and matter and space

a painful remineralisation

the body stiffly cold

emerging in the other side of the plane

the toe tag already has my name
