my midnight confidant
keeper of my secrets
patiently listening to
a repeat episode of my hopes
and dreams
again
always the same ones too...
hey, at least I'm consistent
sometimes I wonder if you
roll your eyes when
I'm not looking
or if I ever
impress you with my
eloquent sarcasm
or if you cringe
when I cry
I don't mean to
but sometimes the tears
just fall out
sorry...
anyway, thanks for
always being there
to listen.
I've tried talking to
the sun like this
but I always get
burned.
