Mood Ring
A poem about finding self love through color.

Mood Ring
Pitch black,
Senses altered to a desolate state,
In the night I come to uncover her;
My beloved aura,
Where have you been hiding,
Is it you?
A shiver creeping up my spine,
Eclipsed, stricken, frigid
In my body,
Naked in my bones,
Cold blood, she
Has welcomed blue.
I contemplate the sun
Caressing my skin, salt
Outside of me all but a memory,
The color amber
Embraces this body,
As her home melts into mine.
