Monster in Your Head
I see you and I am always there

Monster in Your Head
I am the monster under your bed
The scary voice that in your head
The fear you feel in the dark
The electricity born from a spark
I am the shadow upon your wall
The silent footsteps in the hall
The wicked grin you cannot see
The little voice that whispers, “Me”
I have no bones, I have no skin
But still you feel me creeping in
Behind your eyes, inside your dreams
I’m not as wicked as I seem
I wear the colours of your fear
I laugh whenever you come near
With purple ears and eyes of red
I dance around inside your head
But monsters have their secrets too
And mine is that I’m scared of you
For when you smile and face the night
My darkest shadows turn to light
So look beneath your bed tonight
And tell yourself you’ll be alright
For monsters only grow through dread
And I’m the monster in your head.
