My body is heavy with exhaustion, as if it’s being pulled to the ground with thick ropes that are wrapped around every limb. My eyelids are drawn down, my eyelashes clasping together with a nearly impossible to break grip. I feel like I’m wading through thick water, though I’m just walking through a hall. There’s a ringing in my ears, loud enough to make it eerily quiet. My mind wanders through a thousand thoughts, though it’s in a complete fog. A steel expression has plastered itself onto my face, claiming it as home for the day. It is Monday, and no amount of caffeine can aid this fatigue.
