I no longer know what I want.

It’s not a lingering thought

With the ups and downs

Straight through the ground

Burning away the cinders to ash

Nothing about anything made any sense

Expiations shattering the sound barrier between your ears

Differences didn’t matter in the shadows of your own fears

They echoed off the rim of your cornea

Making it the only things that you saw

There’s anger that I do not understand

Nor why it’s directed at my hands

Which I use to try to comfort and soothe

Changing the spectrum of blue

Not you

But so little of me gets to matter

In between all the pressure and the clatter

Building up without releasing

Breaking in to destroy the grieving

Draining myself down to a drop

So much time has now passed by that is empty

Filled with laughter and love but we are not together anymore

You would rather not have me than to never look at yourself to see where the devouring began

I would rather know and live with what is real than in a world that I can no longer understand

I wish you would try and just take my hand
