Momma’s Growing Up

Momma’s growing up.

Yeah, momma's getting old.

Forgotten who I was.

Mind lost to the flood.

Time can be so cruel.

Left me feeling far removed.

Rambling like a fool.

Only I remember you.

Yeah, momma’s growing up.

Momma’s getting old.

Forgotten who she was.

Mind lost to the flood.

Where’d the time go?

Fractured mementos.

Walls covered in notes.

Holding on to smoke.

Momma’s growing up.

Momma’s getting old.

But her soul is young and beautiful.

So scared to let her go.

But heaven needs angels.

And momma would look good in a halo.
