Moldavite

A truly marvellous stone

Moldavite

They say you fell from a burning sky,
A green-eyed ember wrapped in flame.
The earth still carries where you landed,
And nothing living stayed the same.

You do not sparkle just for beauty,
Or beg to rest in gentle hands.
You wake the ghosts we buried deeply,
Then leave us walking broken lands.

I held you once beneath moonlight,
Expecting comfort, warmth and peace.
Instead you stripped away illusions,
Until my restless heart found release.

Every crack became a doorway,
Every scar a whispered prayer.
You taught me storms are not destruction,
But proof that life is still somewhere.

Some will fear your quiet power,
Calling every change a curse.
Yet standing still can slowly hollow,
A soul that should have travelled first.

So I will wear your silent fire,
Though every lesson leaves its mark.
Better shattered into truth,
Than sleeping safely in the dark.
