Modern Day Lilith

Like a modern-day Lilith

She fooled you into believing

She was offering true and destined love

Like a dark angelic bird of prey

She smelled your pain, loneliness,

Desperation and open wounds

And she swooped down to feed on you

Manipulating you into thinking

Her need for emotional, sexual, and mental control

Was all encompassing passion, love and divinely destined

But like the succubus she was

She seemed so dark and mysterious

She only wanted your surrender

She wanted

Your soul

Your essence

Your dreams

Your youth

She wanted those for herself

Things she was incapable of creating for herself

Gifts she was denied due to her own vileness

And evil tendencies

She had to use her wiles to steal them from you

She wanted what was good in you for herself

It was a demonic game of self-pleasure for her

And with ghoulish delight

She climbed on top and straddled your young, innocent soul

And drained you of all that you valued

She stole your dreams and desires

And as Lilith would

She killed her own children’s souls

Abandoning them in the pretense of her pretend true love for you

Eventually destroying you, her lover, with neglect and loneliness

With her selfish need to be the center

And the only ONE

She could please your body

With carnal and lusty pleasure

But she could not comfort or touch your heart

She could not love you as you needed and wanted so desperately

Your spirit was sucked dry as she intended

Your body soon followed in death

She got your surrender

Or did she really?
