Mixed Emotions



In a world filled with many different feelings,

There lived a man, let's call him Ernie,

His feelings, you see, were like a wild hearse,

Angry, sad, happy, overwhelmed, and, oh, so journey!

One day he woke up, full of grumpy dismay,

Angry at the sun, which shone too bright,

He grumbled and growled, "Not today, not today!"

But the sun kept on, with all its might.

Then came a moment that made him quite mad,

His coffee machine refused to brew,

He shouted, "You're driving me crazy, you cad!"

As it sputtered and spat, his anger grew.

But life's a rollercoaster, it swiftly unfurls,

From angry Ernie to sad, he now swayed,

He spilled his coffee, creating swirls,

Sobbing, "Why me?" as the mess displayed.

Then suddenly, a knock on his door,

A friend arrived, with a gift so snappy,

Ernie's face lit up, his heart did implore,

Happy tears flowed, he felt so happy!

Overwhelmed by gratitude and surprise,

Ernie exclaimed, "You're too kind, my friend!"

They laughed and chatted, no need for goodbyes,

Overwhelmed with joy, their laughter didn't end.

As the day turned to night, and stars twinkled above,

Ernie felt thankful for life's crazy ride,

From angry to sad, then happy with love,

Overwhelmed and thankful, on this wild tide.

So, in this tale of Ernie's emotional spree,

From anger to sadness, then happiness anew,

Overwhelmed by gratitude, as you can see,

Thankful for friends who bring joy like dew.
