Missing Those Days

verse 3

By Forest GreenPublished 2 months ago • 1 min read

So I’m chasing echoes in the rearview tonight

Trying to find the pieces of the kid who used to fight

For every little victory, every step of the way

Before the world got heavy and the prices got paid

The laughter still lingers in the back of my mind

A soundtrack to the days when everything aligned

I miss the simplicity, the fire in our eyes

The nights that stretched forever under infinite skies

Now the game’s different, the stakes are sky high

But a part of me’s stuck in the blink of an eye

When the block was our canvas and the future was wide

And the only thing we feared was the end of the ride

So I’m holding onto memories like they’re gold in my hands

Trying to find my footing in these foreign lands

Missing the days when the dreams felt so near

And the only thing we chased was the sound of our cheer
