Missing Her

Poem

By Michael GallegosPublished 9 years ago 1 min read

There was this sense I had today,

It came to me as I gazed,

To the mountain there so fair,

A tear did roll down my cheek,

What was this so I did think,

That this sense would come to me,

Just the same I quivered inside,

It was irresistible as I sat to abide,

Was it the mountain there doing so,

But why now would it be a toll,

So deeper, deeper I did go,

To find her image in my soul,

I had compared her beauty,

To the mountain there,

But where was she and so fair,

My body sent my mind a care,

Thus it shook me to despair,

With tear and trembled sense,

Settling for the mountain there.
