The colour green is me.
It’s all of me, so me.
Miss Evergreen. I made it up.
That’s who I am, Miss Evergreen.
My mum's green eyes, first sight I knew.
My garden all dressed up in green
And further meadows, fields and woodlands,
And little me in bright green dress.
That’s how it started,
That’s how it went,
That’s how it’s now.
I write my poems in dark green notebook,
I write my poems with bright green ink.
My house is small but there are always, always room
For some more plants, mote greenery, more joy.
As long as I have left some space, some space for me.
My friend comes in. She yells from doorstep,
It’s junglomania, my girl, it is!!!!
I say, still space for you, my love.
But I might need some more lush plants,
To make this place to shrink a bit.
To shrink in space but not in spirit,
In green fresh spirit that is me.
I get my diary, of course its green,
And write with emerald green ink:
Get some more plants for house and garden.
We all need oxygen to live on Earth.
And if my green dress makes me happy,
It is as good as oxygen for me,
And I don’t care if it’s Mint or Artichoke,
Or Fern or Basil green,
Or Juniper, or Seaweed, or the fresh Lime green,
Or even Crocodile or Pickle green,
And Olives do, and even Wellingtons’ ok.
I really don’t care, coz it’s green.
Green never gets a tiny bit of boring,
That is for me.
I’ll be your friend if you don’t care.
We all have differences in our hearts,
In our eyes, in our souls.
My soul is green, it’s always been this way,
That’s why I call myself
Miss Evergreen.
