Mirror mirror

On the wall

Who’s the most alike

Of them all?

Mirror mirror

Can you tell

That too much reflection

Is not well?

Remind my mind

Of the times

It reflected too deep

And nearly went blind

Remind this woman

Of the signs

That tell her when reality

Is being distorted by time

You are not aging

You are just gracing

Don’t travel back in time

For what he is craving

Listen to your body

Listen to your soul

It is not old

Just refined and made whole

Mirror mirror

Can you show

All those who are ignorant

The things they need to know?

Can you show that little girl

Who she really is?

That life is not a crisis

That life is what life is

Can you raise that little boy

The way his mother couldn’t

Could you teach him how

To truly love a woman ?

Could you make violence silent

In the hearts of the wicked?

Make hate grow dormant

And love heal from sickness

Can you heal those that are broken

Give them the power

To take the muddy waters they tread

And grow wild flowers ?

Jesus,

We’re supposed to be a reflection of you

Then why is it

That we don’t act how we’re supposed to?

Mirror mirror

These are my questions

Are we really a reflection

Or is it you, in all your deception ?
