Miracle of He
Miracle of doing a "Spiritual Fast"
A man lay dying, consumed by disease,
With no hope left, and no sense of ease.
He searched for a cure, but found none,
Feeling alone, his journey almost done.
Then one day, he decided to fast,
For forty days, his body would last,
In search of something greater than himself,
A spiritual journey, a quest for health.
He surrendered his body, his mind, his soul,
And in that surrender, he found a new goal.
For as the days went by, his body healed,
And his spirit grew stronger, his faith unsealed.
"Forty days of fasting and prayer can cause a dead man to live."
By Mahatma Ghandi
He realized that when he was at his worst,
God was there, holding him, quenching his thirst.
When everyone had forsaken him, God did not,
And he was always by his side, giving him a lot.
He emerged from his fast, a new man,
No longer lost, but part of a greater plan.
He thanked God for his healing, for his grace,
And vowed to serve him, in all time and space.
Now he lives each day with a renewed sense of purpose,
Knowing that God's love is infinite, and so is his service.
He walks with faith, and hope, and love in his heart,
Knowing that God's light will never depart.
