Darkness falls as the city becomes hauntingly still
Pouring a cup of fresh brewed coffee
It’s heavenly aromas are a delightful sin
Conjuring vivid emotion from my past
Evoking feelings of comfort that never lasts
The moonlight guides my traveling thoughts
Dancing waves of vibrant color splash across my mind
As memories come flooding back into focus
I softly float away and am transported through time
Magic transpires during these mysterious midnight hours
The darkness has its curse on me as my life is set in rewind
As the hours fade away into the eerie shadows of tomorrow
The sun begins to rise with the unveiling of my somber reality
