He's always with me
That's what I've been told
From strangers, friends, and healers
since I was 3 years old
*
He would sing to me
sweet angel lullabies
as I drifted to sleep
*
There was a picture of us
hanging in my room growing up
Seeing my sister and I
across a bridge
*
I only see him in pictures now
as a glowing blue orb
floating nearby me
*
Reminding me
he's there to lead me
through the right path
*
His sword of truth
always guarding me
His healing hands
always guiding me
*
I've taken to his teachings
I speak words of steel
that cut through
lies weaved of silk
*
Devils are often favored
for their sweet fabrications
*
Angels aren't always loved
when they bear bitter truths
*
Humanity can hardly
stand the sting of reality
As the sword pierces through
the veil of illusions they've weaved
within their beliefs
*
I carry on as the truth teller
Holding his hand
Wielding his sword
He stands beside me
*
We are an army of truth
even when standing alone
