Metallic.

I can taste it on my tongue.

Spit that blood from your mouth.

Pick yourself up from the ground.

Brush the dirt off yourself with your tired hands.

Get back up and fight again.

Do it over and over again until you win.

I know life will keep piling it on my shoulders.

It'll bare down on me so heavily.

The burdens try to make my knees weak.

They try to break me again.

I might fall under the pressure.

Forcing me down into the dirt.

There is where I stay for a long time.

Almost like I belong here.

I know I don't, I am better than this.

Gathering all the strength I have.

I'll rise to my feet again.

Spitting blood from my mouth.

Wiping away anything left over.

I am stronger anything that tries to hurt me.

Ready for another round.

Even with the metallic taste in my mouth.

About the Creator

Rabbit

I see the world a little differently than most. Even at a young age I was writing down what I saw but never sharing it with a soul until now. I'm choosing love over fear.
