Cobwebs shimmer in the setting sun
The day is ending but the night hasn’t begun
The spiders are preparing to send shivers down the spines
Of the rich wives sons
Oh what fun
They’ll creep away from their outdoor home through the cracks in their doors and windows
Sweet blonde mommy yells
“Pick up your clothes!”
That’s the cue
There is no hope
Eight dangled legs and who knows how many eyes get ready to make their home bound surprise
Little boy maybe nine years old
Playing videos games and not doing what he’s told
Has no idea of the monsters he’s soon to hold
They’re crawling in the clothes he has yet to fold
Sun is gone, leaving the night cold
The target gets up to close his window
The mother yells
“Ugh!”
In the distance
Ohhhh, the unknown
When her phone chimes
She picks it up to listen...
The boy is back in his chair about to go back to combat and fight unfair
Spiders made it to his ear
Doesn’t feel a thing, the coast is clear
Mommy’s screaming now
A curdling one if the boy ever did hear
He runs to her safety
She’s on the floor in tears
Beloved daddy, has no more years
“Daddy’s gone”
She says
“He’s gone forever”
“Mommy you’re wrong” he says
“He’s going to get better!”
The spiders move on,
Now in his head!
Bite it they did
Bite it, they fed
The boy went numb
“HE’S NOT DEAD!”
Boy runs to his room
Gets in his bed
He feels nothing
Nothing but the spiders as they thread together their new home
This monster will never be gone
Illness has already took one
Mental, has just begun
