Mental heath awareness

Trapped in side a dark hole in my mind

Mental heath awareness

I run, but the walls move with me,

shadowed hands stretch long and wide.

Footsteps echo in the hollow silence,

but there’s nowhere left to hide.

The air is thick with whispers,

each voice a razor-thin lie.

They tell me to flee, to vanish,

but I’ve nowhere left to try.

The world is a house of mirrors,

each face a twisted frame.

I reach for hands that waver,

but none will call my name.

So I run in circles, breathless,

chased by the ghosts inside.

No door will ever open—

no place to run, no place to hide.

My thoughts are a cage of thunder,

each strike a burning brand.

I scream, but the sound is swallowed,

lost in a vast, empty land.

The sky hangs low and heavy,

pressing against my chest.

Every path dissolves to nothing,

each moment a hollow jest.

I run, but my feet are sinking,

dragged by an unseen tide.

The world moves on without me—

no place to run, no place to hide.

I take my pills and go to bed,

but sleep isn’t an easy ride.

For this water that now drowns me

is the tears that I have cried.
