Memory Lives on

Still gone forever

When I was young

I ran downstairs to see you

And memory was way too much to say

And getting our flavored kisses

Those moments do not go away

Yet you were always there when we visited

Till the day you went

I would look for you each time we came to visit

I know you were gone but wanted you back

You were my Grandpa through it all

You were always there and truly missed

Though the years had passed since then

I had a chance to return to the house

And one last look in the room you sat

It was worth the memory in the end

I wish I could go back and see you again

Your life was lived and you loved

Your memory will remain in our minds
